As the link in the question indicates, the.NET Compact Framework does not support UTF-8. It also does not support the full Microsoft Multilingual Code page. Use the Microsoft Multilingual Code page instead:
NLS_LANG := AL32UTF8
AL16UTF16 (depending on the version of Windows)
Also, do not convert the file from a UTF-16 to UTF-8, unless the file was originally in UTF-16.
Low protein diet with or without amino acid supplementation for gastrointestinal dysfunction in children: an open-labeled randomized controlled trial.
Children with gastrointestinal dysfunction (GI) are vulnerable to malnutrition. Amino acid (AA) supplementation is suggested for GI but evidence is scarce. To evaluate the effect of a low protein diet (LPD) with or without AA supplementation on anthropometry, clinical condition, nutrient intake, and the growth of children with GI. A single-center, open-labeled randomized controlled trial was conducted at Guangzhou Women and Children's Medical Center. A LPD was designed to prevent GI and to encourage the normal absorption of nutrients. Enteral and parenteral supplementation of AA was given at the lowest dose. Twenty-four children with GI were enrolled. Participants were allocated into LPD group (n = 12) or control group (n = 12). Eight participants (8/12, 67%) in the control group achieved a 3-month LPD, but none in the LPD group did. Seventy-eight percent of the participants in the control group achieved 3-month LPD. The number of vomiting episodes in the control group was significantly higher than in the LPD group (P = 0.04). Although the participants in the control group consumed fewer calories than those in the LPD group, calorie be359ba680
